JD Motorsports and Mike Wallace ready for Chicagoland Speedway Nationwide race

Proud dad also celebrating Chrissy Wallace’s ASA Track Championship at I-44 Speedway

GAFFNEY, S.C. (September 13, 2011) – Coming off a respectable 15th-place finish last week at Richmond International Raceway, Mike Wallace and the No. 01 Chevrolet team are looking to keep the momentum going this weekend at Chicagoland Speedway.  With that finish, Wallace advanced up one position in the NASCAR Nationwide Series driver standings to 12thplace. There are only seven races left in the season, so that narrows the window for errors and accidents for the JD Motorsports team.

In addition to their points battle, they are also in search of primary and associate partnerships to help them finish out the season.

Chrissy Wallace Trek to the Championship Update: Chrissy Wallace, daughter of Mike, clinched the ASA Late Model Track Championship last Saturday night at Lebanon I-44 Speedway in Missouri. She’s the first female in ASA history to win a championship and is now waiting to find out if she can clinch the West Region and National Championships, as well. In 1990, Mike won the Late Model championship at the same track.

• This will be the St. Louis native’s 410th NASCAR Nationwide Series start of his career
• And, he is going to make his 28th start of the 2011 season
• To date, he’s earned one top five (fifth at Road America), two top-10s, five top-15s and 15 top-20 finishes.
• During that span, he’s completed 90.3 percent (4,513 of 4,997) laps contested leading three races for a total of 10 laps.
• This will be his 10th start at the 1.5-mile oval of Chicagoland Speedway.
• During the previous nine, Wallace has earned six top-20 finishes with a best of 15thin 2004. He’s also led 18 laps.
• For the first race at Chicagoland earlier this year, the JD Motorsports No. 01 Chevrolet started 22nd and finished in 16th place.
